ParentPay – Helpful Guide to help get you started.

At Gracemount Primary, along with most other schools across Edinburgh, we use an online payment system called ParentPay.  This system enables parents and carers to go online to order and pay for school items relating to their children.  For example, school meals can be ordered and paid for using ParentPay and so can things like school trips/excursions.  Ultimately this means that children are no longer required to come to school with manual orders or bring money.

You can access ParentPay from most devices, i.e. smart phone, laptop, iPad, Android etc.

To use ParentPay, you need to activate your account.  If you do not have activation information please let us know by emailing admin@gracemount-pri.edin.sch.uk and we can issue this information to you. 

Here is a step-by-step guide to help set up your ParentPay account:

Once you have your activation details, setting up your ParentPay account is straightforward.  Before you start, make sure you have access to your personal email account:

Step 1) Using your internet browser type in www.parentpay.com and select Login

Step 2) Once you hit login, you will see this page.  Using the user name and password given to you in your activation letter, enter the details accordingly

Step 3) Once you have entered those details you will see the screen below and your child’s name will appear. Follow the steps by adding your child’s DOB:

Step 4)  After hitting confirm you will see the screen below. This is where you enter your personal details.  Add your own personal email address.  Also, this is where you choose your own password.  Once your details are entered, hit Activate your account.

Step 5) You will see this verification message giving you an instruction to go to your email address.  This is the email address you entered in step 4 above.


Step 6)  Go to your email and hit verify your email address.  You will then receive a message telling you that your account has been activated.

You are now ready to use ParentPay. Your username is your email address and your password is the one you created in step 4).

Forgotten your login details?

If you are set up on ParentPay but you have forgotten your login details you can reset them yourself by going to the main ParentPay login page:
